Privacy

What we collect

Your email address, if you give it to us. That is it. We do not ask for your name, your phone number, your school or your course.

Basic, anonymous page data — which pages get read, roughly how people arrive. We do not currently run any third-party analytics script at all. If we add one, we will choose a privacy-respecting provider, say so on this page, and it will not track you across other websites.

Anything you type into the interview question form. We publish the question, the employer type and the cycle. We do not publish, store alongside, or pass on anything that identifies you.

What we do with it

Your email address is used to send you the Brief. Nothing else.

We do not sell it. We do not rent it. We do not pass it to advertisers, partners, recruiters, universities or anyone else. There is no circumstance in which we would.

Cookies

The site sets no tracking cookies and no advertising cookies.

If you choose a light or dark theme, that preference is stored in your own browser's local storage so the site remembers it next time. It never leaves your device and we cannot read it.

Third parties

When we connect an email provider, your address will be stored with them so they can deliver the newsletter. We will name that provider here when it is chosen.

When we start taking payments, a payment provider will process the transaction. We will never store your card details or M-Pesa credentials ourselves, and we will name the provider here before it goes live.

Your rights

Under the Data Protection Act, 2019, you have the right to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected, and to have it deleted.

In practice, that is one line: every email we send has a one-click unsubscribe, and unsubscribing removes you. If you would rather ask us directly, email hello@chanuakenya.co.ke and we will do it and confirm.

Changes

If this page changes materially, we will say so in the Brief rather than quietly updating it.
